AAT is a new Italian spin-off created to promote innovation and research on functional foods and nutraceuticals by supplying highly qualified analytical services focused on molecular monitoring of human and animal microflora.

Currently, there is a huge interest in the use of food which may exert a positive functional effect on our health. Two of these ‘functional foods’ are known as probiotics and prebiotics, both of which have a favourable effect on the ‘good’ bacteria that reside in our digestive system, also known as our gut microflora.

AAT was founded in 2005 in reply to the growing interest in functional foods and offers skilled support to food and pharmaceutical companies having strong analytical and project planning needs.

AAT offers customers twenty years experience in scientific validation of probiotics, and supports them, by means of its scientific division, in the presentation of application dossiers for health claims made on food.

From June 2005 to June 2007 Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore was a business incubator of AAT company.

Since July 2007, AAT has established the new headquarters in an ideal location to take advantage of any kind of service and customers reception.
