The world of probiotics is always evolving, and in the last few years, it has been increasingly moving toward the use of inactivated, tyndallized or pasteurized bacteria, also known as postbiotics.
What we propose is an innovative method using flow cytometry for the quantification of inactivated bacteria, which result difficult if not impossible to count by classical microbiology methods. Our method has been developed from ISO19344:2015 norm and has been carried out the performance data such as experimental calculation of measurement uncertainty to ensure a high-quality standard.
You can use this approach for the quantification of bacteria in raw materials and food supplements, but this method can also be applied to cosmetic products and medical devices.
